Andrew H. Weinstein, M.D.
Andrew H. Weinstein, MD is a Miami native and is a product of the Palmetto public schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Florida and went on to the Medical Scholar’s program at the University of Illinois. While a medical scholar, Dr. Weinstein completed his M.D., as well as advanced course work in public health and research methods. Dr. Weinstein returned to the University of Miami for internship in the Department of Medicine. Additionally, he completed a fellowship and residency in the Department of Dermatology at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Weinstein is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Voluntary Associate Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. While in the Department of Dermatology, Dr. Weinstein received fellowship training, spending two dedicated years performing clinical trials. As an expert in methodology, Dr. Weinstein has reviewed numerous publications. He is well published in the field of dermatologic therapy. Dr. Weinstein has held numerous leadership roles in dermatology. He has earned the national recognition of his dermatology colleagues by serving on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and by being elected as the Chair of the Advisory Board as well as being nominated 2021 FSDS Surgeon of the Year. He has served as president of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
