When the Israel family started coming to Boynton Beach Skin they captured the hearts of the physician’s with their story of how SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) has affected their lives. SMA is a neurologic disease that takes away a person’s ability to walk, eat, or breathe. The Israel’s, personal friend’s and patient’s of Dr. DeVoursney, have a child who is affected by this disease. When Mrs. Israel came in today for her appointment she was presented with a check for $3,300 to help support Cure SMA.
