Michael I. Shiman, M.D., was born and raised in South Florida. He attended the prestigious Honors Program in Medicine at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, graduating with his medical degree at the top of his class as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Shiman continued his training with a medical internship in the Department of Medicine at the world-renowned Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He then completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery.
